Turkiye-Syria Earthquake Update: The earthquake on February 6 in the West Asian countries of Turkey and Syria has caused huge devastation. So far more than 25,000 people have lost their lives in these two countries. Six days after the devastating earthquake, hope for survival faded in Turkey on Saturday when several heart-wrenching scenes came to the fore.

All the seven members of the old man’s family lost their lives

17 bodies were pulled out one by one from a destroyed building in Turkey’s Hatay province, while an elderly man standing in front of the debris was seen shedding tears. Rescuers told that the old man had lost all the seven members of his family. Tears rolling down his face, he showed the WhatsApp profile picture of a family member killed in the disaster.

People got buried as soon as the building was razed

In a video that surfaced from the spot, the rescuers were seen trying to give water to the inconsolable old man. Pointing to the debris, he said that his family members are no more, they were buried as soon as the building was razed to the ground. Everyone standing there started expressing sorrow after seeing the old man.

More than 30 thousand people were saved

In a report, it was told on Saturday night that more than 25 thousand people have died due to the 7.8 magnitude earthquake. Now more than 95 countries are sending help to Turkey. Relief efforts by thousands of rescue workers from various countries are underway in the affected areas, including India’s “Operation Dost”. Due to this, more than 30 thousand people have been saved in this country so far.

In Kahramanmaras, Turkey, a man was seen sitting alone on a pile of bricks in the cold. He sat holding the hand of his 15-year-old daughter, who had been crushed under the weight of the building’s fallen concrete. His daughter had died tragically due to the earthquake.
